Celebrating 3 Years of Wisbey Osteopathy

Today, I’m thrilled to be celebrating an exciting milestone: It’s the 3-year anniversary of Wisbey Osteopathy’s opening! I’ve decided to take a retrospective journey through the accomplishments, growth, and impact the clinic has had on numerous lives because it’s as important to review the past as it is to plan for the future. So, grab a cup of tea, get cozy, and let’s dive into the story of Wisbey Osteopathy so far!

A Healing Haven is Born:

Three years ago, I opened the clinic doors of Wisbey Osteopathy with a simple yet powerful mission: to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that enhances well-being, promotes healing, and empowers individuals to lead healthier lives. At the time I was ‘armed’ (see what i did there?!) with hands skilled in osteopathic technique, the experience of being a massage therapist and a passion for helping people feel better. I couldn’t quite believe I’d got to this point, it felt like it’s made it. Little did I know this was just the beginning…

Creating Lasting Impact:

From day one, I set out to create a positive lasting impact, and the feedback shows I’ve been successful so far! My dedication to personalised care and a comprehensive approach to healing has led to many success stories. Patients continually report improved mobility, reduced pain, increased overall well-being and in many cases complete resolution – only returning to treat themselves to a massage or three. I’ve been committed to continuous learning above and beyond the mandatory 90hrs as set out by the General Osteopathic Council; staying at the forefront of osteopathic techniques has contributed to my consistently exceptional results. I’ve also added to my therapy skill-set, expanding beyond osteopathy and massage to now offer, medical acupuncture, taping, shockwave therapy and mindset coaching. I’ve been a busy bee!

Community Connection:

One of the most heartwarming aspects of running a small local business has been nurturing a deep connection to the community, reconnecting with the town I grew up in. Beyond offering the best medical care I can in the clinic, I have strived to become a hub for health education and awareness. I have also created a referral network of trusted professionals so if you need another service I don’t offer then I can make a recommendation I know you won’t be disappointed with. Through social media, my blog, giving talks and attending community events, I have aimed to empower people to take charge of their health and make informed decisions. With other forms of healthcare becoming increasingly difficult to access it’s important to build invaluable trust using a community-centric approach. My next talk is booked for October with the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society!

Innovative Approaches:

I’ve also been keen on integrating modern approaches into the practice rather than continue the more traditional practices of university. From incorporating technology for better patient outcome monitoring to exploring additional therapies that enhance healing, I’m committed to staying adaptable in the pursuit of holistic care. The booking and notes sytem was updated, I use the Rehab My Patient software to send detailed exercise plans, I added an automated system for appointment reminders, sending newsletters and to give you a birthday treat each year.

Upgrading the clinic to include a brand new shockwave machine this year has also proved to be an excellent extension of the services offered at Wisbey Osteopathy, expanding the capabilities of the clinic for swift recovery from chronic tendon and muscular issues. The addition of mindset coaching/NLP to my repertoire has further advanced how I can work, allowing me to take some of my work online and reach even further a-field to help more people.

Empowering Team and Growth:

No journey is complete without a dedicated team, and Wisbey Osteopathy is no exception. I am able to rely on Harry for his exceptional administration skills and have forged relationships with other trusted local professionals as an extended referral team. I sought the help of an experienced business coach, Gilly Woodhouse, at the beginning of 2021. I implemented everything she advised and the clinic flourished into the thriving practice it is today. The clinic’s growth over the past three years has enabled me an opportunity to expand so I am ready to bring in another skilled professional who shares the same vision of patient-centered care. This will further increase WO’s clinical availability and I’m excited to see where it leads… Watch the social media pages for news on who joins us!

Looking Ahead:

As Wisbey Osteopathy celebrates its 3-year anniversary, the future looks incredibly promising. My commitment to clinical innovation, patient empowerment, and community engagement paves the way for continued growth and impact. With plans to write a book, continue updating technology, explore new therapeutic modalities, expand the clinic, add team members and continue educating the community, the magnitude of positive influence on every patient who crosses paths with Wisbey Osteopathy is limitless. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

Valued & Appreciated Support:

In a world where healthcare can often feel inaccessible, impersonal and rushed, I’ve worked hard to make Wisbey Osteopathy stand out as a beacon of hope and change for the better. The three-year journey is a testament to the power of dedication, compassion, and a woman on a mission. As I celebrate my achievements so far, attained only with the support of those people around me, I eagerly await the next chapters of the story. I’d like to say a huge thank you to each and every person who has helped along the way because without the backing of my wonderful friends and family, and the trust and loyalty of my patients, I wouldn’t be the proud owner of a thriving clinic. Thank you also to the people who taught me hard lessons this year, a tougher but equally as important tutorial in trust and resilience. Not all teachings are accompanied with a hug and a smile.

Please join me in raising a glass to Wisbey Osteopathy and the future of the practice! May I continue to serve the community of North Hertfordshire for many years to come!
